The curling season has now come and gone. It was another great season here at MICC.

For the most part our league numbers stayed at par or experienced growth which is what we like to see!

Thank you to everyone on the Board for their continued direction and support of the club – and to all the volunteers throughout the year who helped with scheduling, bonspiels, and league coordination – we couldn’t have done it without  you!

And of course, thank you to all our loyal membership for your continued support of our club!

Congratulations to the Men’s Grey Cup Bonspiel!

They collected and donated $1250 to the Kamloops Food Bank.

The Food Bank would like to thank everyone at MICC and especially those who took part in the Grey Cup Bonspiel for their generosity!

This past weekend – MICC hosted its annual Wine and Roses Ladies Bonspiel.

With 12 solid teams it was a great weekend for everyone.

Thank you to all the teams who signed up – and also to the many volunteers who made the weekend successful!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Olsen Rink for winning the Grey Cup Bonspiel this past weekend!

In addition we would also like to congratulate the Schiller Rink for winning the B Event and the Serink Rink for winning the C Event!

It was a great weekend overall – and MICC again would like to give a HUGE thank you to Kevin Ihlen, Chris Beatty, Paul Bregoliss, and anyone else who had a hand in helping out during the weekend! We could not have done it without you guys – your hard work is much appreciated by the club!

Congratulations to the Debert Rink on winning the Men’s League Championship this past week!

Congrats to the MICC Seniors League and Ben Hodgkiss for raising $2091 for the Canadian Cancer Society!

As you may recall – a few weeks back – Ben offered to have his head shaved for the cause.

Thanks to the good work of our Senior curlers – the pledges rolled in and they amassed a total of $2091 in donations.

Thank you to Ben Hodgkiss for donating his precious locks of hair – and to all the organizers in the Senior league for making this happen!

CONGRATULATIONS!

To the Gray rink for their accomplishments this year!

They recently won the MICC Ladies League Club Championship – as well as the Regionals in Ashcroft a few weeks ago.

They are off to the provincial championships in April to compete at the next level.

Wish them good luck as they compete and represent our club!

MICC Veteran Curler Ben Hodgkiss has agreed to cut his hair to raise money for cancer!

The MICC Seniors League is looking for pledges for the Canadian Cancer Society in support of Ben cutting his hair.

The cutting of Ben’s hair will take place at the MICC Seniors League windup on March 12th.
